Tại sao Lan Rừng Đắt? Nguy hiểm nghề hái lan rừng

Nằm trong những khu rừng sâu thẳm với bao nguy hiểm rình rập, phong lan trở thành loài cây cảnh có giá trên thị trường.

Nhiều người ở xã Hướng Linh (Hướng Hóa, Quảng Trị) đã bỏ mạng vì vào rừng hái lan

Câu nói thường xuyên mình hay nghe được sau khi các bạn hỏi giá lan bao nhiêu thường là” đắt thế!”  Nên mình cũng xin mượn bài viết này để cho các bạn biết sự vất vả khi đi bẻ lan rừng. Qua nhiều công đoạn trung gian, lan bị mất kí, dập gãy, hư thối, tiền vận chuyển … Khi đến tay bạn giá đương nhiên là … đắt rồi 🙂

Hái lan rừng – “Ăn của rừng rưng rưng nước mắt” Ông bà ta vẫn thường dạy thế.

Mới sáng tinh mơ, căn nhà sàn của Hồ Văn Dinh (23 tuổi) ở thôn Xa Bai, xã Hướng Linh, đã đỏ lửa. Cô vợ trẻ Dinh mới cưới thức dậy từ thuở nào để chuẩn bị cơm nước cho chuyến đi lấy lan rừng của chồng. Dăm phút sau, Hồ Văn Mường, Hồ Văn Khăm, Hồ Văn Bài đã tề tựu đông đủ, với lỉnh kỉnh đồ nghề: bao tải, dao quắm, dây thừng, đinh mười phân, búa, đèn pin, lương thực và không thể thiếu rượu. Vài người trong hội lấy lan cười bảo phải có một ít hơi men để giữ ấm cho cơ thể, quanh năm ở đó sương mù bao phủ, rét lắm.

Địa điểm có nhiều phong lan nhất là đỉnh Voi Mẹp (cao trên 1.700 m), phải đi bộ một ngày mới đến. Đi ròng rã chừng ba tiếng, nhóm Dinh tạm nghỉ chân tại suối Xà Rong. Đổ một tí rượu xuống con suối, nhóm lấy lan bảo đã có mấy người chết trôi ở đây. Khi đi thì nước nhỏ, về thì nước lớn, ngã trên vách đá xuống suối nước lũ cuốn, thế là bỏ mạng.

 

 

Nhóm Dinh đến đỉnh Voi Mẹp thì trời đã chập choạng. Một chiếc bạt được căng lên, lá cây rừng làm chiếu thế là ngôi nhà dã chiến hoàn thành. Đêm đầu tiên trôi qua trong muôn tiếng côn trùng và thú hoang. Rạng sáng, nhóm thợ thức giấc, lần theo những cổ thụ đã được Dinh đánh dấu. Từ chiếc đinh mười được đóng vào thân cây, trèo đến đâu thợ lan đóng đến đó. Leo lên hơn mười mét, Dinh dùng dây thừng buộc người vào thân cây rồi hét lớn: “Nghinh Xuân chúng mày ơi. May rồi, một giò to tướng luôn”. Cả nhóm mừng ra mặt. Từng thân phong lan được chuyển xuống, được 9 nhánh to, nhánh con thì chi chít.

Theo Dinh, loại lan quý nhất là Nghinh Xuân với lá dày, sóng to, nở đúng vào Tết âm lịch nên giá thành rất cao. Có bao nhiêu người ta cũng lấy, mua bán khỏi mặc cả. Các loại lan thường như Tai Trâu lá rất to, phiến lá mỏng, mọc ở tầm trung. ( chỗ này phóng viên viết sai rùi) Loại này chủ hàng mua theo trọng lượng. Lan Tóc Tiên thì thân tựa cái roi mây, thường mọc ở các lèn khe suối, chủ hàng thường mua theo nắm…

Chiều xuống, núi rừng Hướng Linh huyền bí. Xa xa trong tầm mắt là đỉnh Voi Mẹp nơi nhóm Dinh đã quần thảo cả ngày. Từng thớ phong lan được mang xuống khúc nước nông ở thủy điện Rào Quán để tắm táp. Cả nhóm gột rửa cái bụi bặm của lan rừng, để hóa kiếp cho chúng thành những nhành lan bắt mắt.

Trở về nhà Dinh, cô vợ trẻ mừng rỡ: “Các anh đi đường không có chuyện gì chứ. Cả đêm tôi ngủ không được, thấy trời mây đen dày đặc mà lo quá”. Nhấc điện thoại alô cho các chủ hàng, Dinh bảo: “May rồi anh em ơi, chủ hàng đang cần bao nhiêu cũng lấy. Loại thường thì mỗi ký 160 nghìn đồng, riêng Ninh Xuân thì mỗi cành 200 nghìn đồng. Tha hồ nhậu rồi”. Ai nấy đều mệt rã rời, nhưng vẫn vui vẻ vì số phong lan mình mang về được giá.

Bên mâm rượu mừng công, Dinh kể rằng làm cái nghề này cực lắm, nhiều người đã bỏ mạng ở đỉnh Voi Mẹp như Hồ A Pua. Bị rắn lục cắn, A Pua ngã từ trên cao xuống. Vài ngày sau dân bản đèn đuốc đi tìm thì phát hiện thi thể của A Pua bị dập nát dưới gốc cổ thụ. Còn Hồ Văn Khăm suýt nữa bỏ mạng vì đụng tổ ong vò vẽ. Nhờ có con suối gần đấy Khăm mới thoát được đàn ong vỡ tổ, nhưng bị sốt mấy ngày, phải lên trạm y tế xã truyền dịch.

Nguy hiểm vậy nên trước mỗi chuyến đi Dinh đều làm lễ cúng thần rừng và các bạn bè đã mất vì lan rừng trong xa thẳm đỉnh Voi Mẹp. Cô vợ trẻ của Dinh thức suốt để nghe nhóm thợ kể chuyện lan rừng, chốc chốc lại đưa ánh mắt buồn về người chồng. “Thôi bỏ cái nghề này đi anh à, mình còn trẻ làm cái gì mà chả được. Ở nhà với em gắng cày cuốc lật cỏ mà ăn. Lỡ có chuyện gì thì em biết phải làm sao đây”, cô vợ ngân ngấn nước mắt.

A Dinh gật gù: “Chắc có lẽ phải từ giã thôi, chứ đi lắm cũng có ngày mất mạng. Bẫy rừng giăng mắc dọc đường không gặp hôm nay cũng hôm khác”.
