Bệnh loét phá hại cây ăn quả thường làm rụng quả và lá, cây cằn cỗi chóng tàn.

Bệnh loét phá hại cây ăn quả thường làm rụng quả và lá, cây cằn cỗi chóng tàn. Ở vườn ươm, khi bị bệnh nặng cây con dễ chết, quả bị bệnh phẩm chất kém không thể xuất khẩu và cất trữ được. Ở nước ta, bệnh phá hại phổ biến tại tất cả các vùng trồng cây ăn quả có múi gây thiệt hại đáng kể cho người trồng, làm ảnh hưởng lớn tới nguồn hàng xuất khẩu.

1. Triệu chứng gây bệnh

Ở lá non, triệu chứng bệnh ban đầu là những chấm nhỏ có đường kính trên dưới 1mm, màu trong vàng, thường thấy ở mặt dưới của lá, sau đó vết bệnh mở rộng và phá vỡ biểu bì mặt dưới lá, màu trắng nhạt hoặc nâu nhạt. Lá bệnh không biến đổi hình dạng nhưng dễ rụng, cây con bị bệnh nặng thường hay rụng lá.

Vết bệnh ở quả cũng tương tự như ở lá: Vết bệnh xù xì màu nâu hơn, mép ngoài có gờ nổi lên, ở giữa vết bệnh mô chết rạn nứt. Toàn bộ chiều dày của vỏ quả có thể bị loét, nhưng vết loét không ăn sâu vào ruột quả. Bệnh nặng có thể làm cho quả biến dạng, ít nước, khô sớm, dễ rụng.

Bệnh làm cho quả xấu mã, không đạt tiêu chuẩn chất lượng để xuất khẩu. Vết bệnh trên cành và thân cây con cũng giống như ở trên lá nhưng sùi lên tương đối rõ ràng. Đặc biệt có trường hợp vết loét ở thân kéo dài tới 15 cm và ở cành tới 5 – 7 cm.

2. Nguyên nhân

Do vi khuẩn Xanthomomas campestris pv. citri (Hasse) Dye. Vi khuẩn hình gậy, một đầu có một lông mao, gram âm, háo khí. Khuẩn lạc trên môi trường nuôi cấy màu vàng bóng, hơi hồng, rìa hơi lượn sóng.

3. Phương thức lan truyền

Vi khuẩn gây bệnh tồn tại trên tàn dư lá, quả, thân, cành cây đã bị bệnh. Vi khuẩn lan truyên nhờ tác nhân cơ giới, gió, nước mưa. Do đó, bệnh thường gây hại nặng trong điều kiện thời tiết ẩm, mùa mưa.

4. Đặc điểm phát sinh

Bệnh loét phát sinh gây hại quanh năm, nhưng bệnh trong mùa mưa nặng hơn trong mùa khô. Bệnh phát sinh và phát triển mạnh ở điều kiện ẩm độ cao và nhiệt độ 26 – 35 độ C. Bệnh loét lây lan rất nhanh. Bệnh hại trên tất cả các giống cây có múi. Chanh, bưởi chùm bị nặng nhất. Các giống cam Xã Đoài, cam Vân Du, cam Sông Con bị bệnh nặng hơn các giống cam chanh, cam sành.

Bệnh phát sinh từ lộc xuân (tháng 3), tăng mạnh đến lộc hạ (tháng 7 và 8) rồi đến lộc đông (tháng 10 và 11) thì bệnh giảm dần và ngừng phát triển. Tuổi cây càng non càng dễ bị nhiễm bệnh nặng, nhất là ở vườn ươm ghép cây giống thường bị bệnh nặng trong 1 – 2 năm đầu, cam từ 5 – 6 tuổi tỉ lệ bị bệnh thấp hơn. Cành vượt phát triển nhiều lộc thường bị bệnh nặng hơn, sau khi nảy lộc 30 – 45 ngày ở giống cam rất dễ bị bệnh.

Khi lộc cành bước vào ổn định nhưng chưa hóa già tính nhiễm bệnh cao nhất. Sau khi hoa rụng, quả non hình thành bắt đầu bị nhiễm bệnh. Khi quả ngừng lớn và bắt đầu vàng thì hầu như không nhiễm bệnh nữa. Ngoài ra, sâu bùa vẽ cũng là môi giới truyền bệnh tạo nên vết thương để bệnh xâm nhiễm dễ dàng, nhất là trong vườn ươm cây giống.

5. Biện pháp phòng trừ

– Vườn trồng cây ăn quả cần có hệ thống thoát nước tốt, không trồng cây giống bị nhiễm bệnh và không trồng quá dày để tạo thông thoáng cho vườn. Cắt và thu gom cành, lá, quả bị bệnh đem tiêu hủy nguồn bệnh. Những vườn bị bệnh không tưới nước lên tán cây vào buổi chiều mát, không tưới thừa nước. Đốn tỉa tạo tán định kỳ để vườn không bị rậm rạp. Tránh tạo vết thương cơ giới cho vi khuẩn xâm nhập.

– Bón phân cân đối NPK. Tăng cường bón thêm phân kali cho vườn cây đang bị bệnh, không bón đạm và phân bón lá khi bệnh đang phát triển gây hại.

– Phòng chống sâu vẽ bùa bằng dầu khoáng SK Enspray 99EC và thuốc hóa học.

– Phun phòng vào lúc mới ra lộc hoặc khi bệnh bắt đầu xuất hiện. Khi bệnh nặng có thể phun 2 – 4 lần, mỗi lần cách nhau 10 – 15 ngày. Sử dụng các loại thuốc gốc đồng như Boocđô 1%, Boocđô + zineb hoặc các loại thuốc có hoạt chất Kasugamycin + copper oxychloride (ví dụ: Kasuran 0,15%, …), Copper hydroxide (ví dụ: champion 37,5SC,…),  Copper oxychloride… phun khi cây mới ra lộc, lượng nước phun là 600 – 800 lít/ha.
