Đây là bệnh phổ biến trên đỗ quyên ở nước ta, tác hại là làm cho lá rụng.

Triệu chứng

Ban đầu lá xuất hiện các chấm màu nâu đỏ. Sau đó lan rộng dần thành hình tròn hoặc nhiều cạnh đường kính 1mm-5mm, màu nâu đen, giữa có đốm màu trắng xám. Đốm bệnh mặt trên sẫm hơn mặt dưới lá, trên đốm có các chấm mốc đen.

Nguyên nhân gây bệnh

Bệnh đốm nâu trên cây đỗ quyên do nấm bào tử đuôi (Cercospora rhododendri Ferraris) thuộc lớp bào tử sợi gây ra. Nấm bệnh qua đông trên lá bệnh hoặc xác cây nhiễm bệnh. Sang xuân nấm bắt đầu phát triển, lây lan nhờ gió và mưa. Bệnh nặng vào tháng 4-7 hàng năm.

Biện pháp phòng trừ

  • Gom đốt lá bệnh làm giảm nguồn lây.
  • Mùa hè cần đặt cây nơi thoáng gió và đủ sáng, tránh nơi có độ ẩm quá cao.

Nguyên nhân gây bệnh

Bệnh phồng lá đỗ quyên do nấm đảm ngoài (Exobasidium japonicum Shirai.) thuộc lớp nấm tầng, bộ nấm đảm ngoài gây ra. Trên phần bị bệnh có lớp bột màu trắng, đó chính là tầng đảm và bào tử đảm. Nấm qua đông bằng sợi nấm trên mô bệnh. Mùa xuân bắt đầu lây lan, phát triển mạnh nhất trong tháng 3-5.

Biện pháp phòng trừ

  • Triệt để thu và đốt lá bệnh
  • Phun Boocdo 1% để phòng ngừa. Khi phát bệnh rồi thì phun hợp chất lưu huỳnh+vôi 0,3-0,5oBe (tương đương 1 giọt thuốc lũa pha 20 giọt nước); phun 3 lần cách nhau 10 ngày. Phun vào chiều mát và sáng hôm sau xịt nước sạch rửa lá.

Đặc điểm sinh học

Tên khoa học của bọ xít lưới là Stephanitis pyrioides Scott, thuộc bộ cánh nửa, họ bọ xít lưới. Chúng chích hút nhựa cây tạo thành các đốm trắng làm ảnh hưởng tới sự quanh hợp của cây. Sâu trưởng thành nhỏ dẹt, dài 3,65 mm, rộng 2mm, màu nâu đen, mảnh lưng trước ngực phát triển, có hoa vân dạng lưới. Khi vũ hóa có màng cánh trong, phủ đầy hoa văn dạng lưới. Kích thước con đực và con cái như nhau, chỉ có là con cái bụng tròn, con đực bụng hình trứng.
Mỗi năm sinh sản 10 lứa, qua đông bằng sâu trưởng thành và sâu con. Chúng thường ăn tập trung, đẻ trứng trên lá. Thời kỳ trứng kéo dài khoảng 12-20 ngày. Thiên địch của bọ xít là chuồn cỏ và nhện. Nếu mỗi cây có 4-5 con chuồn cỏ thì không cần phòng bệnh.

Phương pháp phòng trừ

  • Bắt giết bọ xít khi số lượng ít.
  • Khi phát bệnh dùng thuốc Rogor hoặc Sumithion 0,05% hoặc DDVP hoặc Phoxim 0,1%.
