Cây xoài là cây có giá trị kinh tế cao nhưng rất khó làm trong mùa nghịch ( mùa mưa bão).

Trước đây bà con nông dân cho rằng bệnh thán thư là nguyên nhân chính làm đen bông, hư bông, rụng bông xoài dẫn đến xoài không đậu được trái trong mùa mưa.

Năm 2012, Công ty VINO đã phát hiện ra “Nguyên nhân chính làm đen và rụng bông xoài là do vi khuẩn” .

Đây là kết quả hoàn toàn mới và bất ngờ mà chưa có một tài liệu nào công bố trước đây, điều đó được giải thích tại sao bà con phun thuốc trừ nấm rất nhiều và sử dụng nhiều loại thuốc cao cấp chi phí rất tốn kém nhưng bông xoài vẫn đen, vẫn rụng và không đậu được trái, dẫn đến thất mùa.
